We are a group of German speaking parents in Los Angeles who raise their children bilingual. We feel that teaching our children a second language is a great gift, but it is not without challenges. For both, children and parents, it can feel isolating when they are the only ones speaking the language, and moreover, kids want to speak what is easier for them, which tends to be English. Our meetups are free of charge, open to everyone regardless of skill level, and hosted by Strommen teachers (off duty!). Hi all! We started our German immersion programs in February 2013. We offer a small, yet high quality, German immersion program "Deutscher Kindergarten" at our private residence. We currently offer a 2-hour program from 10am-12pm, Monday through Friday, with a maximum of 6 kids and a 10- class commitment. As of May we'll be offering 3-hour drop-off classes from 9am-12pm on Tuesdays and Fridays (with a minimum of 3 kids per class). In June we'll have a summer program from 9am-12pm for 2-4 year ol …
